About Seicho

Japanese Calligrapher / Designer

　Seicho is a New York based Japanese calligraphy Artist. "Seicho" means quiet butterfly in Japanese. She started to play with a brush at the age of 6, and began to blossom her talent as a calligrapher around her time in college. She studied under Master Calligrapher Seifu Makino who is a well-known calligrapher in Kyoto, Japan, and that improved her skill even more. Her calligraphy works have won many prizes and have been exhibited all over Japan. In 1996, she became Master Calligrapher "Seicho". On the other side, she appeared in several films, TV shows, some Music Videos (including Jamie Foxx, Good Charlotte, etc.) and also on the cover of New York Magazine.
